Since 2021 he has been employed. • Between April 2016 and April 2022 amounts due to HMRC for self-assessment tax increased by £181,161. • Mr Hutchinson failed to set aside any or any sufficient sum for tax at a time when he was aware of his obligations to file returns and to pay the tax due thereunder and was able to arrange his affairs so as to do so. • HMRC are Mr Hutchinson’s principal creditor and have submitted a claim in the bankruptcy of £238,107.51 which has materially contributed to Mr Hutchinson’s insolvency. • Over the same period, Mr Hutchison states he met substantial expenses in respect of university fees for family members.
